Domains

A domain is to a computer what a phone number is to a telephone.  It is the starting point for your website and identifies it uniquely.  Domains are written in the format xxxxxx.xxx(.xxx), eg. pelsermedia.com or webtopia.co.za

You can have multiple domains point to the same website.  For instance, moderndesignjewellery.com and mdj.co.za point to the same website. Try it.

It is a great benefit to have a memorable domain.  Email addresses can (and should!) be set up using the same domain, like info@webtopia.co.za.  This way people will remember both your website and email addresses.
